'Living in their lovely riverside neighbourhood, Richmond residents could be forgiven for thinking they were really countryside rather than city dwellers. And the arrival of the town's first farm shop will only serve to reinforce that.
The Fat Badger Farm Shop is launching at the Gladwin brothers' Fat Badger restaurant down by the river. It'll be part greengrocer, fishmonger and butcher and deli. There'll be organic vegetables, rare cuts of meat, Lindisfarne oysters and, handily for lazy Londoners, ready meals made by the restaurant's chefs.
The store's produce all comes from small UK growers and producers and they're planning monthly masterclasses and workshops, including butchery, if you need some inspiration on what to make with your shopping.'
